


*How old is this thing? *Quite, quite playable. *And there is a single number 1 on the other side of the body. *The seller said the pads were okay (check), as was the case (check), it had some scratches on the headjoint (yes, oh well), but he could not find the serial number. I am relatively new to the flute (some noodling around on the Irish flute), and just won at auction an Emerson ELD. My understanding is that these flutes were made by Emerson DeFord, the founder of Emerson flutes.
